A 45 minute train journey from Berwick on Tweed station or a hour or so drive, north or south will take you to the shops and excellent Quay Side of Newcastle on Tyne or the historic city of Edinburgh with its rich history and dramatic castle and fine architecture.
FROM THE SOUTH:
By the A1; take the B6353 and follow signs to Ford and Etal. Pass through Ford toward Etal and take the right turn sign posted Slainsfield and Hay Farm. We are the first house up the hill.
By the A697; take the B6354 about eight miles north of Wooler. Follow the sign for Etal at the river bridge and take the next right sign posted Slainsfield and Hay Farm. We are the first house up the hill.
FROM THE NORTH:
By the A1; take the B6354 off the Berwick by pass . Pass Etal and Heatherslaw Mill. Take the left turn sign posted Slainsfield and Hay Farm. We are the first house up the hill.
By the A697; sign posted Ford and Etal about seven miles south of Coldstream. Take the left turn to Etal at the river bridge and the next right sign posted Slainsfield and Hay Farm. We are the first house up the hill.
